Everyone has heard of the PlayStation 2, and many have played on it. Games such as GTA (Grand Theft Auto) – San Andreas, Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy, and others are a great way to relax and game.

There are some other important considerations which make this a neat gaming console. It has great graphics, and can play DVD’s. So the application for it is wider than just being a gaming console.

The PS2 as it is also known is a 6th generation gaming console, much more advanced than previous consoles made before its time. In 2010 for example, there are scheduled 20 games, which are to be released for the PS2.

This shows that it is a gaming console which still has a lot of potential and demand. It has been that way since it was released. For example, in 2000 when it was released in Japan, and there were delays getting it to the US, people were selling it for huge prices successfully, by sending from Japan! In addition to PlayStation 2 software, the PS2 can read both CDs and DVDs and it is backward compatible with the original PlayStation games. The PS2 also supports memory cards (PlayStation games save only) and controllers to play.

It is also good to know that the PlayStation 2 has USB functionality, and comes in the option of black and silver, which is good as it looks good to have it in the home.
